Dear Diver Down, PADI issues a "Scuba Diver"

Dear Diver Down, PADI issues a "Scuba Diver" certification. This certification is good for life BUT requires you to dive with a PADI pro (such as a divemaster already leading the dive boat) and not to go below 40'. You can upgrade to an "Open Water Diver" by completing your last 2 open water dives and dives 4&5 in the pool. Hope this clarifies the situation for you. PADI MSDT#22170
