Investing in our future is what Kids Sea Camp is all about! There is no greater joy that we as instructors can have than teaching young ones how to scuba dive. The clear, vibrant shallow reefs of Grand Cayman offer the perfect setting for the kids to explore, learn about diving, identify fish, corals, sea fans and nudibranchs and become young ambassadors of our marine environment.
Whether the kids are getting their junior open-water certification or doing PADI Seals or SASY programs, the wonder of the underwater world leaves them filled with bubbly excitement about the next dive. In addition to the base programs, Divetech takes the kids through a variety of specialties, including building an underwater pirate's boat with treasures to be found, snorkeling with underwater scooters to follow turtles around, using underwater cameras to take memorable pictures and finally diving at world-famous Stingray City with the whole family.
Between dives, we also explore the underwater world in other ways -- a submarine trip, a tour, setting a turtle free into the wild from the Cayman Turtle Farm, crafts, painting, movies, games and more!
While the parents are out diving on the walls of Grand Cayman, the kids are in good hands with our staff of instructors, all licensed to work with children and certified in first aid, oxygen provision and CPR for a good healthy measure of safety, adventure and fun!
For the parents, we offer a night dive while the kids are having a pizza and movie night, an underwater scooter tour including the West Bay Express, daily 2-tank boat trips, unlimited shore diving and, of course, the Stingray City dive with the family just before graduation night celebrations! Nitrox divers are welcome, or a half-day nitrox course will have you diving nitrox with more energy left over at the end of your diving day to keep up with the kids at night.
Kids Sea Camp Grand Cayman takes place for two separate weeks in 2006: July 8-15 and July 15-July 22. Accommodations are at upscale Cobalt Coast Resort, which is located right on the ocean and offers full bar and restaurant, Jacuzzi, freshwater swimming pool and oceanside dining. Kids stay and eat free with packages, which include room taxes, service charges, diving, seven days of breakfast and six days of lunch and dinner! We hope you join us for a great adventure!
