Bermuda - The Accessible Exotic

by Tom Morrisey
Average Rating

Shakespeare wrote about it in The Tempest. Peter Benchley wrote about it in The Deep. And word-of-mouth among divers has established it—the mythical lure of Bermudian waters, and the lore of Bermuda's reefs—as  one of the cornerstones of international dive travel, a must-go, must-dive destination, especially for those with a passion for shipwrecks and the history of the sea.

And divers have discovered that Bermuda is a true year-round destination. The winter months offer spring-like weather, visibility that is routinely well beyond 100 feet, and frequent whale encounters. In summer, Bermuda feels positively tropical, with days that bring out the nation's signature shorts, and water temperatures in the low to mid 80s.
