Day 19

Today was yet another awesome day for the crew of UDA22. We started our day waking up to the special and really great tasting surprise of big Joe's scrambled eggs. After eating and cleanup, we set sail with Sarah, the birthday girl, at the helm. Although the wind was weaker than we would have liked, it was still an incredibly relaxing sail, mainly involving half the crew falling asleep in the sun.

When we arrived at our destination, Statia, we met our Divemaster/tour guide Lisa. She brought us down to sixty feet where we found an awesome wreck, which we entered one at a time under Tiffany's instruction. Logan got to touch a trunkfish. We all surfaced after entering the wreck and Ellie and Joe made us a great lunch of Ramen noodles.

After eating, we all went for a hike into Statia’s volcano, The Quill. On the hike, Natalie and Miriam found an awesome tree with carvings in it from the year 1959. Inside the volcano, we found giant trees, which Joe immediately climbed up. After a rock slide, we climbed out of the volcano. Trevor and Ben started picking up trash, and Emma went for a run down the mountain. When we reached the bottom, we all went out for burgers and Peter and Scott had some great brownie sundaes; little did they know that a great cake had been ordered for Sarah's birthday.

Finally, we all came back to the boat, got all of our paperwork done, and officially became certified in our Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver and specialties. In the end it was time to get some sleep after another fun and exhausting day!
