Kids Sea Camp (KSC) is the brainchild of Margo Peyton, a scuba diver since 1989. This scuba mom, along with her husband Tom and children Robbie and Jennifer, decided it was important for their family to spend time together doing the two things Margo loved most: scuba diving and traveling.
Peyton started KSC in 2001 as a seven-night family vacation. The camp has since teamed up with PADI, a diving community that certifies divers all over the world. Five-star PADI resorts around the globe host KSC to support the learning and development of young divers. KSC destinations include such exotic places as the Cayman Islands, Bonaire, Roatan, Fiji, Curacao, the Galapagos and many other beautiful dive sites.
Families can spend a week scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins and turtles, kissing sea lions, kayaking, horseback riding, discovering underwater photography, taking canopy tours, meeting other families and making friends from all over the world. Kids ages four to 16 learn to snorkel and scuba dive with a full range of PADI certification courses. KSC is the perfect aquatic family getaway!
Each year, KSC helps hundreds of kids become PADI-certified divers. And, more than 150 young divers went on to participate in the teen diver program with the hopes of becoming "Ocean Discoverers." The program allows kids age 10 and older to become certified through many specialty courses, including underwater navigation, buoyancy control, fish identification, adventure diver, underwater photography and more. The certified divers enjoy night dives, sea scooter dives, wall and wreck dives, dolphin dives and shark dives. Many KSC participants become PADI Jr. Advanced Divers.
