Grand Cayman welcomes a new resort to
its beaches with the opening of a five-story Holiday Inn. The
facility has 231 guest rooms, two restaurants, a large swimming
pool and a beachfront dive center. Overlooking the blue Caribbean,
the new Holiday Inn can treat its guests to a breathtaking view of
Grand Cayman's tropical scenery and stunning sunsets.
The facility is located on West Bay Road, toward the northern, less
populated region of Seven Mile Beach, yet within easy driving
distance of downtown George Town and the airport.
Red Sail Sports has been selected as the Holiday Inn's
on-premises dive and watersports center. This well-known
watersports company is providing a new 46-foot Newton custom dive
boat as the dedicated vessel to the Holiday Inn. The custom dive
craft will carry 20 divers and cruise at more than 20 knots. Based
at Safehaven, the dive boat is just minutes from the hotel.
Red Sail Sports and the Holiday Inn have announced two introductory
promotions for divers. These special scuba packages are available
from November 1, 2000 through December 18, 2000. The Scuba Sampler
Package #1 is available for $344 and includes three nights at the
Holiday Inn Island View room, daily two-tank morning dives, a Red
Sail Sports t-shirt, a free night dive, a free Sunset sail, free
afternoon boat dives (based upon availability) and additional
diving discounted at US $75 per day.
The Scenic Scuba Package #2 is available for US $398 and includes
three nights at the Holiday Inn in the Ocean View room, daily
2-tank morning dives, a Red Sail Sports t-shirt, a free night dive,
a free Sunset sail, free afternoon boat dives (based upon
availability), and additional diving discounted at $75 per day.
