Academic Treks, the academic adventure and community service division of Broadreach, is offering a $250 discount on its Marine Biology Caribbean Voyage to Sport Diver readers who enroll by February 29, 2008.
Teens aged 15-19 earn college credit as they discover the underwater charms of St. Barts, St. Kitts, Saba and Statia on a 22-day live-aboard summer program. A 50-foot catamaran yacht is the students' home, classroom, lab and transportation as they explore world-renowned marine parks and coral reefs. Under the guidance of marine biologists, students will study topics ranging from oceanography to marine ecology. The curriculum is designed to anchor traditional learning with immediate real-world application and experience.
Studies are complemented by field surveys, REEF data collection and marine service projects. Additional time is available for island exploration, water sports and beach bonfires.
