Blackbeard's Cruises announces two new seasonal itineraries on select dates fom April through August. Blackbeard's Cruises has brought you 30 years of budget priced scuba liveaboard adventures and now they offer two new itineraries from which to choose.
The first new itinerary departs from Nassau to the Exuma Cays. The Exumas is a protected land and sea park offering incredible wall diving, a blue hole and thriving marine life. In addition to diving, there are many eco adventures, white sand beaches and islands to explore.
The second itinerary is even more remote - Hogsty Reef - the only true coral atoll in the Atlantic. Hogsty Reef is located in the Southern Bahamas, between Great Inagua and Acklins Island, and roughly l00 miles north of the island of Hispaniola. It is a place so untouched by intruders that it typifies the definition of the word "unspoiled". A treacherous reef of jagged coral lies almost invisible beneath tranquil water. This reef has claimed hundreds of ships and more than 25 wreck sites have been found. Surrounded by waters that plunge to depths of 6,000 feet or more, two spits of sand encompass a crystal clear lagoon. The only entrance to the lagoon on the west side keeps the diving pristine. The entire formation of approximately twelve square miles provides a lush habitat for colorful schools of fish.
For those who can't get away for a week or 10 days, Blackbeard's Cruises also has weekend (Saturday-Wednesday) trips departing from Freeport or Nassau this spring and summer.
