This year Jack's Diving Locker is joining with the Institute for a Sustainable Future and the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce to support the inaugural Kona Earth Festival. Jack's Diving Locker's Ocean Fair is the perfect event to have associated with the Kona Earth Festival. Ocean Fair's ocean ecology messages are consistent with the overall goals of the Earth Festival. The inaugural 2006 Kona Earth festival, officially named E Pñlama I Ka Honua (Cherish the Earth), is a month long West Hawai'i community celebration of our natural environment. It presents an opportunity for visitors and citizens to build their skills for ethical stewardship of the land and the sea. The kick-off event will be the Earth Day Fair on Saturday, April 22.
