What do you do when you want to clean up your local diving spot and get into the Halloween spirit? You host a dive clean up and a pumpkin-carving contest, of course.
Last week Kentucky-based dive company New Horizons Diving held a Project Aware cleanup and an underwater pumpkin-carving contest at Laurel Lake. Divers and staff collected numerous large bags of trash from above and below the water, making the beach more beautiful and safe. Back on land the party began with the pumpkin-carving contest featuring prizes and lots of cider and sweet treats.
