Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire

Sea Turtle Conservation
In late 2003, two adult female hawksbill turtles were equipped with satellite transmitters by Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire (STCB). Through this revolutionary satellite-transmitter study, STCB hopes to learn where turtles that nest on Bonaire reside outside of the breeding season. Sponsors for the study are still being sought; each satellite transmitter costs approximately $1,400. For more information, call STCB Project Director Robert van Dam at 011-599-790-0433 or 011-599-717-2225, or e-mail STCB@bonaireturtles.org.
