Best Dive Tips image

Sport Diver is currently accepting contributions to its “Best Dive Tips Ever” feature that will publish in the November/December 2011 issue. We’re looking for your best tips, tricks, strategies, pointers, words-to-the-wise and any other expert advice you can offer to fellow divers based on your experience as a passionate diver and professional.  The aim of the article is to offer content that will contribute to the enjoyment and safety of the overall scuba experience.

Topics to Cover
Potential tip topics inlcude: Travel, Equipment, Skills, Training, Photography, Marine Life and Lifestyle. However, any aspect of the dive life is open. Here are a few examples:

Tip Examples
Travel: When packing for air travel, bring your life support, instruments and a bathing suit in your carry-on luggage. That way you’ll be able to get wet with your most important gear no matter what the airline does to your checked dive bag.

Equipment: Clean your mask lens with a non-abrasive cleanser before every dive trip — even if it’s not new — to remove any build up that will reduce visibility.

Lifestyle: To make friends on your next dive boat adventure, bring along a bag of candy to share during surface intervals.

To Enter Your Tips
Please email tips by August 12 to editor@sportdiver.com (subject “best tip ever”), and if your tips are selected for use, we’ll print your name, hometown and shop (if applicable). We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
