American Express card members can make a difference by voting to help worthy projects receive grants from American Express' Members Project. Vote by September 30th to make this project one of the top five that will receive financial grants from American Express.

Help Fund the Imaging Foundation ProjectSharks are under attack. Even international protection is not enough to prevent illegal slaughter. These magnificent predators are sentenced to a slow and cruel death by a barbaric practice called "finning." The sharks (and countless other non-target species) are hooked on long lines and dragged on board. The shark's fins are hacked off the still-living animals before their helpless bodies are dumped into the sea to die a slow and painful death. The killing is unsustainable and unacceptable. The Imaging Foundation is seeking to safeguard sharks and other wildlife by educating and empowering local people through the power of media, and we are calling on you to help. We have already made huge in-roads in raising awareness of the illegal slaughter of sharks and calling governments to action, but it's not enough. We desperately need funds to turn the tide, making the seas a richer place for future generations to enjoy. Please take just one minute out of your busy day and register your vote – give us the chance to fight for you and really make a difference in the world. Sharks have been around for 200 million years and in just a few short decades we have come close to losing them, and so much more of the planet's amazing diversity.
