Dive For Earth Day 2010

It's not too early to make your plans. Dive for Earth Day the week of April 22nd with Project AWARE Foundation and volunteer divers around the world. It's the International Year of Biodiversity and the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day. Project AWARE is partnering with more than 300 dive professionals around the world to organize events with one common theme - protecting underwater environments.

Organize: Jump on the Dive for Earth Day map. Register online, display your event details for local volunteers, receive free tools and materials for your community activity.

Volunteer: Dive in this April 22nd. Search for global events and choose a conservation activity in your area at projectaware.org/domore.

Donate: Give the gift of conservation. Your support contributes to ongoing research, grass-roots conservation and data collection projects to protect our fragile underwater resources worldwide.

For eleven years divers have taken action on Dive for Earth Day to monitor local reefs and remove dangerous debris from aquatic ecosystems. Project AWARE encourages volunteers of all ages join a marine debris cleanup, coral monitoring project or AWARE Kids activity this Dive for Earth Day, 22 April.
