For locals and visitors alike, Café Med is the place to be on Thursday nights. In addition to their menu filled with everything from escargot and calamari to pistachio-encrusted tilapia, you can't beat the sexy salsa dancing vibe. Get there early and before the night is through, you'll know how to shake your stuff just like the pros.

Okay, so this might not be a news flash, but my favorite place to shore-dive on Grand Cayman is still Sunset Reef and Sunset Wall, and because of that I seem to take most of my meals (and do my post-dive relaxing) at My Bar, Sunset House's legendary watering hole; good food and drink (not before diving!) and great company. And when I wander away from Sunset House, my favorite thing is to rent a car or a scooter and just take a drive. Grand Cayman's topside scenery doesn't get nearly the press it deserves, and Caymanians are buoyant and friendly people, well worth meeting.

Finding Nemo introduced many new or soon-to-be divers to the awesome experience of swimming over a great wall. If this is still on your list of must do's, the East Side of Cayman is a must dive. Steve Broadbelt at Ocean Frontiers will hook you up with close encounters with tarpon galore. Make sure to explore the swim-throughs and caverns of Grouper Grotto and Snapper Hole before you peer over the edge into the great abyss where depths reach close to four miles. No wonder Nemo's dad freaked.
