The British Virgin Islands are spectacular both above the water and below the waves. One of the most famous dive sites in the Caribbean is the Wreck of the RMS Rhone, which sank after encountering the Great Hurricane of 1867 and now lies broken in half along the sandy ocean bottom. The Rhone is the only national marine park in the Caribbean and plays home to colorful snapper, soldier fish and parrotfish. Off Anegada, advanced divers can explore numerous reefs luxuriant in color and diverse marine life.
