With its fleet of luxurious dive boats, friendly staff, quality service and professional instruction, Don Foster's Dive Cayman keeps divers coming back again and again. Don Foster's is located on the waterfront three-tenths of a mile south of Georgetown. It is fronted by Casuarina Point Reef, with excellent shore diving and snorkeling, and offers a large dive shop with dive and snorkel gear rental, T-shirts, resort wear, souvenirs, drinks, snacks, ice cream and much more. There is also an on-site photo center, Bone-Dry Photo. The dive staff are fully qualified PADI instructors. Courses range from Discover Scuba Diving and Open Water to specialty and Divemaster. Don Foster's dive package rates are the lowest on the island, and the shop works with customers to make each diving experience memorable, whether the customer wants to dive a lot (check out the 20-tank special) or a little. After a brief hiatus due to excessive diving, here’s the blog post you’ve all been waiting for. Well, maybe not, but here it is anyway. I’ve spent four days diving in Cozumel so far, and it’s been…fast. As I’ve discovered, Cozumel isn’t known for its currents for nothing. Our first day, our group dropped in to about 100 feet at Punta Sur, a great site to the south of the island. And it was great — we party crashed on a school of jacks and saw plenty of pinnacles covered in sponges, gorgonians and tube corals. The current at that depth, while present, wasn’t overwhelming.
