PADI Diving Society's Total Submersion 2010

by Ty Sawyer

When the PADI Diving Society went out to look for the inaugural Diving Society event, the decision took about five seconds to make. From the beginning of diving, Grand Cayman has been a dominant force in defining the lifestyle that embodies our sport. There are so many of the Caribbean's best dive sites that you could come for years and never get to them. So, naturally this idyllic diver's crossroads was chosen to gather a group of Society divers to celebrate what we love — diving. And the very first Total Submersion was born. We took over another Grand Cayman dive icon, Sunset House (and, of course, My Bar) and led by the creative passions of Theresa Gulledge, the manager of the PADI Diving Society and our annual ringleader, and her PADI team the event has become so popular that it has become the world's number one diving event. And what makes it so great is the combination of unforgettable diving and the most fun loving people you'll ever meet. Everyone that comes wants to dive and suck as much out of life as possible. And, Theresa organizes it so that if you go home well rested and without some of the piles of swag that are given away each year, you've stayed hidden in your room. Most of my Facebook friends I've met at Total Submersion, and some I personally look forward to this event all year. Even if you're coming for the first time, it takes about five minutes for you to get folded into the group. Then you're simply part of legacy that we all hope never ends. The ultimate celebration of the ultimate lifestyle.

It's coming up fast this year and it's one of the best deals in diving. Click here to book your spot.
