WHAT TO BRING
DOCUMENTS
Most travelers are able to enter Curacao with minimal paperwork. Here is what travelers from the U.S. will need to bring:
- A valid passport
- A return or onward ticket
- Money to cover expenses while there
- Any documents needed to return home or to enter the next point of travel
When traveling outside the U.S. it's recommended to check the U.S. State Department website for any traveler alerts. If you need a passport, the State Department website can provide you with the documents you'll need to apply.
WHAT TO PACK
With temperatures staying at about 82 degrees year round and minimal rainfall, Curacao requires just the basics. Another thing to consider is the duty-free shopping zones on the island, making it one of the favorite activities when visiting.
Necessities might include:
- Sunscreen
- Floppy hat
- Bathing Suits
- Cover-ups (the island is on the conservative side outside of the resorts)
- Sandals for beach-days
- Good hiking or walking shoes -- A favorite activity is walking
- Bug spray or lotion
- C-card
- Disposable cameras
- Electricity is 110-130v similar to the U.S. but not exactly - a surge regulator is recommended
