The island of Borneo has an intriguing mix of interior rain forests and caves and coastal reefs and walls. This wealth and the island's rugged history are shared by the nations of Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei. The site divers know best is an island off the northeastern coast of Malaysia's portion called Sipadan. More than 3,000 fish and coral species have been documented around Sipadan, and the island is home to many nesting sea turtles. March through November is the dry season.
