The stars of many an action movie, this year the Navy SEALS mark the 50th anniversary of the first two SEAL teams; today’s SEALs number 10 teams with a total of 600 officers and 1,900 enlisted sailors. Taking their name from an acronym for Sea, Air and Land, SEALs are highly trained scuba divers, among other skills, and train under extreme circumstances like the ones shown. Here, the SEALs are shown during a recent exercise in the Pacific, swimming back to a guided missile submarine. Just another day at the office.
