Mona Island
Roughing it on Mona Island was described as a favorite part of the event for many participants. Besides the eye-popping underwater scenery at Grouper City and The Cathedral, topside activities offered a chance for everyone to unwind a little and enjoy the lush scenery and quiet nature. For some, this was a new experience: camping and diving. For others, it rekindled that primal yearning for communing with the natural world. The night sky revealed a panoramic view unobstructed by man-made structures and a picture-perfect observatory for studying the thousands of twinkling stars. Days offered pristine beaches and fish-bowl clear waters waiting to be explored.
