Old San Juan
The final two days were scheduled in San Juan, on the north side of the island. Participants took to the challenge and offered up their impressions of the old-world architecture whole-heartedly. By the last day, everyone seemed to enjoy the chance to shop, shoot, explore and take in the culture and charm of Puerto Rico. On the last night, the Sport Diver group was the guest of honor at a dinner hosted by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company.

Everyone headed out to the jungle for an exiting day of ziplining through the
rainforest in the Utuado mountains. The drive through the winding, narrow
dirt roads proved to be a good introduction to the rustic adventures that
greeted the participants throughout the day.

One of the highlights of the trip was the chance to experience a night dive
with Taino Divers off Rincon Bay. The waters offered up a different scene
under the shroud of darkness, and with the right equipment, an opportunity
for some easy macro shots.

With Taino Divers at the lead, participants head to the small island of
Desecheo, about a 40-minute boat ride. The island is off-limits to land-based
tourism, but the reefs surrounding the island are fair game for divers.
Roughing it on Mona Island was described as a favorite part of the event for
many participants. Besides the eye-popping underwater scenery at Grouper City
and The Cathedral, topside activities offered a chance for everyone to unwind
a little and enjoy the lush scenery and quiet nature.
After roughing it for a few days, the group traveled to more upscale digs at
the Copamarina Resort & Spa in Guanica, on the southern coast of Puerto Rico.
