South Africa: The Big Game of Diving

South Africa is big time in every sense of the word. Located at the southern tip of the African continent, this marvelous adventureland is bordered by two oceans and boasts a 1,864-mile coastline. On the east side is the Atlantic and on the west coast is the Indian Ocean - two coasts, two worlds. White Sharks - In recent years, South Africa has attained worldwide recognition for its White Shark diving - the absolute ultimate in undersea adventure. Conducted from sturdy shark cages, close up White Shark encounters have become a frequent reliable diving experience. Ragged Tooth Sharks -Another highly unusual undersea adventure is to dive among Ragged Tooth Sharks found plentiful in this part of the world. These large, pointy-nose sharks display a mouthful of spiky teeth that give the appearance of a dangerous beast, yet the Raggie is a fairly docile creature. Whale Sharks - If you are seeking a really big creature encounter, South Africa has its share of Whale Sharks, 50-foot long fish with a mouth the size of a garage door. These gentle, but awesome, creatures are indeed an unforgettable adventure. Big Game - One of South Africa's most distinctive attractions is the opportunity to combine big game diving with big game encounters in the African bush. Visitors can go inland to one of many Safari Camps and experience awesome encounters with elephants, lions, rhinos, water buffalo and other wildlife. Few places on earth offer this combination of big-timetravel adventure. For more information about planning a trip to South Africa, click on the home page below.
