PADI 5 Star IDC facility with locations at Bermuda's finest hotels the Fairmont Southampton and Fairmont Hamilton Princess. Bermuda's only operation diving both the North and South shore wrecks and reef sites.
Bermuda boasts the best visibility in the Atlantic. In excess of 200 feet in peak conditions that are generally calm and current free. Most of the sites come to within a few feet of the surface allowing long bottom times for divers and making Bermuda a truly snorkel friendly destination. Dive Bermuda is the only operation with two boats diving both the South and North shores. We offer more choice of reefs and wrecks than anyone else on Bermuda.
BERMUDA'S WRECKS With over 100 dive accessible shipwrecks we have been voted the "the Shipwreck diving capital of the Atlantic". Our wrecks vary from historic wrecks to artificial wrecks sunk for divers. Both types offer interesting dives with great photo opportunities.
Historical wrecks in Bermuda range from the remains of Spanish galleons sunk in the 1600's to huge Ocean Liners sunk in the last century. These wrecks are typically not intact due to the amount of time they have been underwater and because the ships generally sank under violent circumstances. Our artificial wrecks were sunk intentionally for divers and snorkelers to explore. These are generally intact, upright on the seafloor and offer good opportunities for safe penetration dives.
BERMUDA'S REEFS The reef system that surrounds Bermuda covers over 230 square miles, the reef topography offers canyons, tunnels and archways that rise from the seafloor to the surface. Due to strong marine conservation efforts Bermuda's reefs are in excellent condition, with hard and soft corals adorning the marine landscape and covering many of our wrecks. Fish are abundant with the usual variety of reef fish including: Parrotfish, Snapper, Grouper, Angelfish and Barracuda.
