BARE Sports Blackwing BCD

Well known for wetsuits and drysuits, BARE is adding a brand new line of BCs to its product offering in 2009. The Blackwing incorporates a streamlined rear-mounted air cell, plenty of lift and integrated weight capacities, along with storage features that appeal to both technical and non-technical divers. Wrapped around a fully supported harness (with carrying handle) the Blackwing offers ergonomically shaped heavy-duty shoulder straps with side release buckles including thumb tabs providing durability, versatility, and easy adjustment. Available in both male and female (Curve) designs, the Blackwing delivers 48 lbs of lift and holds a total of 30 pounds of ballast in the two releasable pockets (Female model has 35 lbs of lift and holds 20 lbs of weight). Additional trim weight pockets are also included, as are a full complement of sandblasted Stainless steel D-rings at the shoulder and hips, for organizing extra gear. Accessory attachment grommets make it easy to mount a knife or retractor.
