The management of the Lions Dive & Beach Resort is well aware that tourism
can only survive in a world where good care is taken of nature and the
environment and where the social and cultural context are valued. Therefore the
Lions Dive & Beach Resort tries to minimize its impact on the environment by
saving energy and water and by reducing and carefully processing waste and
wastewater. The tropical nature is proudly reflected in our gardens.
Right from the conceptual phase the Lions Dive & Beach Resort was a
nature-oriented accommodation. Today, we try to maintain the highest possible
environmental standards. Saving water, saving energy, taking good care of waste
and waste water and bringing nature to your hotel room's doorstep are an
integral part of the policy of the hotel.
The Lions Dive & Beach Resort started an Ecoroom (2110) in 1999. It's a
normal hotel room where the latest inventions in environmental management
techniques are tested in practice. All proven energy saving tools -tested in the
Ecoroom- have been installed throughout the resort.
