Even if you haven’t been to Kauai yet, you’ve likely seen it. When TV and movie directors want to show the ideal Pacific island, they usually point their cameras at Kauai. The Na Pali Coast and Waimea Canyon are just two of the iconic vistas here on what’s known as the Garden Isle.
As hard as it is to turn your attention away from the topside scenery, Kauai’s dive sites are worth seeing for yourself too. Divers of almost any skill level will enjoy the dozens of green sea turtles of the Sheraton Caverns, where you have to go if you’ve never been. More advanced divers will love making their way farther afield to the edge of the Hawaiian Islands to see what lies off the “forbidden island” of Ni’ihau. It’s a dive trip you’ll never forget.
