Anthony's Key Resort
Roatan, Bay Islands
Family owned and operated, Anthony's Key Resort is a private eight-acre island located 35 miles off the coast of Honduras on Roatan and outlined by the world's second-largest barrier reef.
The resort offers adventures to appeal to all types of travelers--scuba diving and snorkeling, dolphin interactions, hiking beautiful gardens, kayaking, horseback riding, relaxing in the pool with a mixed cocktail or enjoying the sunset in a private hammock. At the center of Anthony's Key Resort is a 30-foot-by-60-foot freshwater pool with a bar and grill hidden away by towering palms.
And when it comes to diving, AKR--a PADI Gold Palm Five-Star Instructor Development Center--has been an industry pioneer for decades. The resort boasts an impressive fleet of 10 custom-built dive boats and a full-service dive shop, along with the confidence of an on-site recompression chamber and physician. Packages are available, as is instruction; you can even learn to be a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor in the amazingly clear, colorful and vibrant waters of Roatan.
Guests can choose from hundreds of dive sites with vibrant reefs located just minutes away and in waters averaging 80 to 100 feet of visibility. Wreck and night dives add extra adventure and variety. And in between outings, personal gear storage is conveniently located right at the dock.
Anthony's Key Resort owns and operates a unique on-site research and educational facility running the only dolphin program in Honduras, the Roatn Institute of Marine Sciences (RIMS). Dolphins reside in a natural lagoon complete with a living coral-reef ecosystem. Dolphin encounters in the waist-deep lagoon are an adventure for guests of all ages and abilities. AKR also offers snorkel and scuba opportunities featuring the free-swimming dolphins of RIMS. Please continue to check our website for future specials and offers.
