Truk Odyssey The Truk Odyssey, a purpose-built 132-foot luxury live-aboard yacht, specializes in exploring the World War II wreck haven of Chuuk Lagoon as well as the pristine outer reefs that frequently get overlooked. The vessel features six huge staterooms (at 14 by 8 feet, some of the largest suites available on a live-aboard) with en suite bathrooms, two single staterooms and one stateroom with a bunk. The ship has a large entertainment saloon and dining room. The spacious dive deck includes a large camera table, charging station, camera rinse tanks and a large dive platform. The crew knows Chuuk intimately, including its history, diving and wrecks, ensuring that any excursion aboard this incredible live-aboard will be unforgettable.

I’ve spent four days diving in Cozumel so far, and it’s been…fast. As I’ve discovered, Cozumel isn’t known for its currents for nothing.  Our first day, our group dropped in to about 100 feet at Punta Sur, a great site to the south of the island. And it was great — we party crashed on a school of jacks and saw plenty of pinnacles covered in sponges, gorgonians and tube corals. The current at that depth, while present, wasn’t overwhelming.
