One of the great features of sportdiver.com is the new "Add a Dive Site" option. It's a great way to share your favorite dive sites and dive experiences with the rest of the diving community. Just follow a few easy steps, and your dive site location and description will appear on sportdiver.com for everyone to see.
First, log on. If you're not already a member, click here to register. Once registered, add a dive site to the sportdiver.com map by selecting "Travel" on the menu bar to pinpoint a specific dive location via the clickable maps. Once you find the dive area, it's simple to add the site to the map. (For more accurate placement, select the hybrid view.)
When you're sure where you'd like to place your dive flag, click on the "Add a Dive Site" text link next to the dive flag icon above the map. A "hand" icon will appear on the map and by clicking the mouse, a dive flag marker will appear. If the flag isn't exactly where you'd like, click again to move the flag. Then, scroll down to name your dive site and add a short description. If you know your site's GPS coordinates, you can add them here as well. Once you're happy with your dive description, click "Add a Dive Destination," and you're done.
Once approved by our online team, the dive site will appear on the map. Share the fun and add as many dive sites as you like.
