CREATE YOUR DIVE PROFILE

Once you've logged on, the next step is to create a "Dive Profile." At the top of your member page you'll see a menu bar. Here you can click on "My Info," "About Me," "Trip Reports," "Dive Logs," "My Blogs" and "Scrapbook." Each button takes you to a page where you can input your information and create your own personal settings. Add as much or as little information as you like.

"My Info" – Here you'll create your basic profile, determine who can see your profile, opt-in to the www.sportdiver.com e-newsletter, add and update your profile photo, allow comments, participate in the "Buddy Finder" system and change your password.

"About Me" – Share your own personal story here with other divers, talk about your favorite dives, give a history of your diving experience or just say "hi" to the diving community in general.

"Trip Reports" – Creating a "Trip Report" is another way to connect with other divers. Here you can create a title, select a dive destination from the drop-down, select a dive site and describe your latest diving experiences. Scroll down to the sections below to add photos and videos to your trip reports. Share your thoughts on other divers' trip reports, e-mail them to your friends and add your comments, too.

"Dive Logs" – If you're still hand-writing your dive information in a log book, use this area to record your information instead. The "Dive Log" form was created to help divers keep track of each dive's statistics in one easy location.

"My Blogs" – Here's where you can voice your opinion about diving, dive sites, dive resorts, things to do top side or just about anything scuba-related. It's a great forum for communicating with other divers from around the world. Just add your comments, type in a subject, check whether you want to accept comments or not and click on "Add" to post your blog.

"Scrapbook" – Members can use the "Scrapbook" to post messages to their "Friends." Here you can add a "Scrap" message to your friends, and they can add a "Scrap" to your "Scrapbook" as well. Each time you log on, check your "Scrapbook" to see your new messages.
