St. Kitts isn't the same-old, same-old resort island…there's actually a number of eco-friendly activities where you can check out the more natural parts of the island, and have fun too. The island is forunate to have a diverse terrain that offers visitors the chance to tour historical buildings, a volcano, a rainforest, white-sand beaches and so much more. Water sports are another way to pass the time topside, from sailing tours, to fishing, parasailing, surfing, jet skiing and more...there's never a dull moment.

Sailing

Batik Factory
Visit the Romney Manor Plantation house, owned by locals since the 17th century and home to the Caribelle Batik Factory where you can watch batik artists at work.

Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park
Brimstone Hill Fortress is a UNESCO World Hertiage historical site, and one of the most visited areas on St. Kitts. It's one of the best preserved historical fortifications in the Americas and allows visitors a stunning view from its hilltop location.

Monkeys
The ever-present, but shy green vervet monkeys can be seen all around St. Kitts and are said to greatly outnumber the human population. Introduced from Africa about 200 years ago, they have made St. Kitts their home. If you remain still, they will sometimes come in for a closer look, and you'll see why they are so adored!

Great Salt Pond
The Great Salt Pond is actually an inland beach with the typical St. Kitts soft white sand, opening onto both the Atlantic Ocean in the North and the more tranquil Caribbean Sea in the South. It's a popular tourist attraction and also home to many species of birds. Several tour operators offer trips to the salt ponds.
