Retail dive industry professionals are invited to apply for this fantastic FAM program in the Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands Tourism Association (CITA) invites all retail dive shop owners and managers to apply to attend SCUBABOWL X to be held in Grand Cayman immediately following the DEMA Trade Show in Las Vegas. The travel date is Sunday, October 26 and the three day event runs from Oct. 27 to 29. Participants can return home on October 30th or sign up for many of the post event packages offered in the Cayman Islands.

The SCUBABOWL formula has been perfected over the past 10 years according to Chairman, Ron Kipp. We meet and greet you at the airport and transport you to one of the eleven hotels or Condo's participating in the program. Every morning you are transported to the Westin Casuarina Resort and Spa, right on Seven Mile Beach, where a Continental Breakfast awaits. The mornings are devoted to Seminars. This year's speakers include Shomari Scott, Department of Tourism, Tom Ingram, DEMA, John Wrightington, Cayman Airways, Carol Haugen, Desert Divers of Las Vegas and Mr. Bob Soto, the founder of resort SCUBA diving in the Cayman Islands in 1957.

A box lunch for your ride back. You are again transported back to your hotel/Condo before being picked up by one of the ten participating dive operators for an afternoon of 2 tank boat dives. No reason to shorten your bottom time over a gourmet lunch!

Transported back to your accommodation to get the salt off and prepare for the SCUBABOWL Welcome Party being held at the famous Lone Star Bar and Grill.

The program repeats itself every day…..Different Seminars…..More Diving.....Different Parties.

The total cost of the entire trip, including roundtrip airfare from any Cayman Airways gateway in only $278. Kipp is proud to explain that this is the very same price that was charged for SCUBABOWL 1 held in 1981. Kipp hopes to debunk the myth that Cayman is too expensive. He claims that Cayman is not a cheap destination but is only as expensive as you choose. He also wants everyone to see above and below water how Cayman has survived and rebuilt since Hurricane Ivan in 2004.

The event is limited to 100 participants with a maximum of 2 per shop. Preference will be given to owners and managers who have a serious determination to build or expand their dive travel programs.
