A Big Win for Sharks

A massive thanks to all divers and shark advocates for signing the Give Sharks a Fighting Chance petition and playing a big part in our campaign to protect sharks. April's Big Shark Shout Out 2012 ended with a very loud and clear message to global policy makers that 100,972 SCUBA divers and shark advocates are demanding effective and enforceable shark protection measures.

Last year, more than 8100 PADI Instructors and Divers voted for the 2012 PADI Diving Society member card and chose Darin Dow Sakdatorn's black and white image of the Emily Flying Boat wreck in Micronesia's Chuuk Lagoon. Who's next?  Submit your best underwater or dive lifestyle photos by September 21, 2012 and your image may wind up in the hands of Society members worldwide.
