Global Vision International has teamed up with one of Mexico's most well respected PADI course directors to combine world class dive training with GVI's marine conservation training, giving graduates a unique course useful for a career in the dive industry or just for fun and experience underwater. Our professional dive courses, which follow the PADI course structure, are an educational adventure leading to globally respected qualifications and employment opportunities worldwide.
Course options include: 1- PADI Open Water – Divemaster, six weeks; 2- PADI Open Water – Divemaster six week course plus two weeks work experience; 3- PADI Advanced (or equivalent) – Instructor, 12 week-course; 4- Instructor Express (already Divemaster), three week-course. All other options vary depending on the way you customize your GVI Dive Academy experience.
Your nearest GVI booking office will put you in direct contact with the course director in Mexico who will assist you in selecting the options that interest you and matching these to the time you have available.. Apart from the instructor express course all other GVI dive courses have flexible starting dates. A wide variety of classes are offered including: PADI Advanced (or equivalent) to PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor in 12 weeks; PADI Open Water Diver to PADI Divemaster in six/eight weeks (dependent upon the work placement option); current divemasters or higher can opt for shorter PADI Instructor Development courses; customized shorter courses from Open Water or Advanced, through to Advanced, Rescue and Master Scuba Diver with a number of optional specialties; and Cavern, Intro to Cave and Full Cave Diving Courses. The majority of dive training will be in the Yucatan around Cancun and the coastline stretching to the south and Playa del Carmen. Renowned the world over for its incredible dive sites, this part of the Caribbean is without a doubt one of the greatest dive locations. Cancun offers magnificent palm-fringed white sand beaches, nearby Mayan ruins, world class hotels and amenities and a vibrant atmosphere and nightlife. The climate is tropical and the people native to the region are of Mayan descent. Cancun was a sleepy little fishing community until the world began to discover the amazing natural beauty of the region. Depending on group sizes a variety of accommodation options are used. All apartments feature shared rooms, full bathrooms with hot water, kitchen facilities and storage facilities.
