Kids Sea Camp has announced the most recent addition to its family vacations — Grand Bahama Island, located just 60 miles off the Florida coast. The camp will be hosted by the International Underwater Explorers Society (UNEXSO), a PADI 5-Star facility, and Pelican Bay at Lucaya hotel Aug. 9 - Aug. 16. KSC offers SASY (Supplied Air Snorkeling for Youth) for kids ages 5 and up; PADI Seal Team for ages 8 and up; and for pre-teens and teens, PADI Open Water certification and Ocean Discovery, advancing with PADI specialty courses.
Participants can take advantage of free giveaways, from Sea Life cameras to Scubapro gear, and a treasure hunt sponsored by Sport Diver magazine. Topside activities include dolphin education at Sanctuary Bay, kayak tours at Lucayan National Park, seeing how natives crack conch, learning about native plant life and bush medicine, and experiencing the Junkanoo celebration.
