After spending the past 12 weeks at Guadalupe and in the Sea of Cortez the Solmar V has returned to the Socorro Islands for an amazing first trip of the season. What a warm welcome it was for the passengers of this 112' luxury live-aboard.
The water temp was 80F at the surface and visibility was about 80'. Rey, who is one of the Dive Guides on board sent back the message: QUE MAS QUIERES VER!
Passenger Marsha Bohr described the experience: "My husband has been diving for 55 years. He had never seen so many sharks of every variety and mantas and whale sharks...Unbelievable. He said he had THE most fabulous dive of his life on this trip... The whale sharks, hammerheads and all the other kinds of sharks and mantas were out to play."
Of course photo opps like these are the envy of all underwater photographers. So Marty Snyderman and Bonnie Pelnar have scheduled another underwater photography excursion and workshop aboard the Solmar V to the Socorro Islands. This workshop is FREE to guests onboard Solmar V the week of April 22 through April 30, 2008.
What better place to learn from the pros while sharpening your photo and video skills than the Socorro Islands, long known for an abundance of marine life and consistent big animal encounters.
Marty will be presenting nightly slide shows and both Bonnie and Marty will be available to assist you with questions and tips about underwater photography and video throughout the trip. During the evenings Bonnie will also be giving up her secrets on how to use Adobe Photoshop to make your best shots of the day even better and will be demonstrating the features that are especially useful for underwater photos. Bring your digital cameras and your laptops! AND both Marty and Bonnie are lots of fun to have onboard!
