ActionQuest is combining with Seamester educational journeys in summer 2008 to help celebrate Seamester's 10th anniversary. Students ages 17 to 23 are invited to sail aboard the 112-foot schooner Argo as she explores the Tahitian islands before heading westward to Tonga and Fiji, and then on to her final destination of Australia. Students may select 66- , 73- or 80-day voyage options, with 12 academic college credits available to those aboard for 80 days and nine credits for the 66- and 73-day voyages. Oceanography, nautical science and leadership form part of the voyage, along with sailing and scuba diving. Argo will complete her first global circumnavigation in 2008, and the Tahiti-to-Australia adventure will be the experience of a lifetime.
