A stellar, ultrahigh airflow performer, SCUBAPRO’s MK25 smoked the ANSTI breathing machine when it was tested by ScubaLab. In fact, the more we stressed this reg, even down to extreme test depths, the better it performed. It is a balanced piston design with five low-pressure ports mounted on a swivel turret. The sharp-looking A700 second is now available in a new Black Tech version with a titanium nitride PVD coating that makes it more rugged, scratch-resistant and even more durable.

If you have a need for specialized mask lenses, IST Proline has multiple options for you. The OL80 dive mask lenses are available in clear, tinted and optical corrections and can be fitted to a number of different mask styles. The prescription lenses range from -1.0 to -8.0 and +1.0 to +4.0. The tinted lenses offer sharp, clear vision and reduced glare both on the surface and underwater. IST’s M200 Synthesis mask, for example, can be easily fitted with the OL80 lenses, and its high-quality, liquid-injected silicone skirt accommodates a wide range of facial profiles.

When ScubaLab put the Mikron on the ANSTI breathing machine, it pumped out lots of air, even at extreme depths and breathing rates. Built for traveling, the Mikron features a balanced-diaphragm first stage that isn’t much bigger than a golf ball, a compact, pneumatically balanced second stage and an ultra-light, ultra-flexible braided hose. The user-control knob offers about one-and-a-quarter turns of adjustment and, when fully closed, it does an excellent job of preventing surface free flows.
