At Turquoise Bay Dive & Beach Resort, guests enjoy the very individual and personal service that only a small dive resort can offer. Located on Roatan's Northeast shore, Turquoise Bay is the only dive resort in this lush and remote area of the island providing divers with the opportunity to dive uncrowded, pristine dive sites.
Roatan is surrounded by the world's second-largest barrier reef that is one of the healthiest in the Caribbean due to the Roatan Marine Park and the local dive community encouraging conservative diving practices. The North side of the island offers the largest variety of reef topography. Explore sloping plateaus perfect for spotting macro life, sheer walls with large soft corals and barrel sponges, wreck dives abundant with life, crevices, trenches, overhangs and cavern systems such as two of the most popular sites, Underground and Dolphin's Den. The on-site dive centre is operated by Subway Watersports, an elite PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Resort. The dive centre offers North and South side diving, valet service and takes out small groups of 6-12 divers per boat.
The resort offers hillside bungalows set amongst palm trees and tropical gardens. Enjoy rooms with stylish Caribbean décor and views of turquoise waters and the white sand beach from the private terrace. For guests who want to be closer to the dive shop, pool or beach, the resort offers rooms in the “Central America” building. Enjoy rooms decorated with signature items from each Central American country.
Guests can also enjoy relaxing on the private beach or pool deck with full service at their chair, kayaking around mangrove islands, swimming in the pool or choosing from a selection of cultural and adventure tours. ACCOMMODATIONS: All 26 rooms have A/C, private bath with hot and cold water, balconies, cable TV with U.S. channels, telephone, internet access and are available with two double beds or one king-size bed.
