“It is an important film, with an important message. When I saw the footage, I realized straight away this is a visual feast. It was not just entertaining but it was also from an environmental point of view, a message: ‘let’s keep our oceans clean, and let’s keep our world clean,’” said Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Director Jean-Michel Cousteau follows in the footsteps on his father, Jacques Cousteau, to educate audiences on the unknown underwater world. Narrated and produced by Arnold Schwarzenegger, this entertaining and educational documentary will forever change our outlook on Earth’s most precious resource, the ocean. Wonders of the Sea was captured with new technologies to create the incredible never-before-seen images, shot underwater in Native 3D 4K. The film was co-directed by Jean-Jacques Mantello and produced by François Mantello.
“This event seeks to educate audiences on one of the most unknown facets of our world, the ocean,” Fathom Events CEO Ray Nutt said. “We are excited to bring this stimulating and educational content to movie theaters nationwide for moviegoers of all ages to enjoy.”
Myriad Pictures’ President Kirk D’Amico said “We are excited to be working with Fathom to bring the extraordinary underwater journeys of Jean-Michael Cousteau, his son Fabien and daughter Céline and the filmmaking team of Jean-Jacques and François Mantello to screens across America. Audiences will experience underwater creatures as never before and witness the undeniable impact of humans on oceans across the planet.”
