Huahine is found in the Society Islands, at about 109 miles (175 km) in the north-west of Tahiti. We won't be out of words or arguments to state that its underwater world is really wild and unchanged. A real paradise as it can be seen in the most beautiful dreams. The few divers discovering this secret spot will be surrounded with a lot of various fish.
The dive center is located on the most protected side of the island where sea condition are generally calm. Most dive site are located on the outside of the reef line or in the channel (Avapeihi Pass) which is actually the most popular spot. Most dive site are just a few minutes boat ride from shore.
Marine life encountered include: Grey reef sharks, barracudas, schools of jacks, dog-toothed tuna, schools of eagle rays, napoleon wrasse, moray eels, bonitas and extic reef tropicals.
Huahine, the secret island or rebel island, there is no shortage of adjectives to indicate the wild but attractive nature of this island known for its fierce warriors and its resistance to change. Consisting of two islands, Huahine Nui in the north and Huahine Iti in the south, separated by a narrow hollow channel said to be the god Hiro's canoe. This mountainous island but with soft shapes has magnificent indented bays and some lovely white sand beaches. The islands dotted around the lagoons are given over to growing different types of melons and there is a varied and abundant supply of fruit and vegetables from these fertile soils.
