Oris Kittiwake Watch Supports Divers in Grand Cayman
CAYMAN ISLANDS --** On Aug. 15, **Island Companies presented all dive operators associated with the Cayman Islands Tourism Association (CITA) with new whiteboards for their boats at Sunset House.
The double-sided boards feature a detailed plan of the ex-USS Kittiwake on one side, which will enhance the dive briefing session that is held before dives at the famous shipwreck, as well as an image of the Oris Kittiwake LE ProDiver – a watch that provides a valuable revenue stream to the preservation of the dive site.
Island Companies and Oris Watches also presented a check for CI $3360 (US $4200) for the watch sales that took place in the first six months of the year. A donation of US $200 is made for each Kittiwake ProDiver watch that is sold by Island Companies.
Overall, an estimated 35,000 divers and snorkellers have enjoyed the Kittiwake since her deliberate sinking in Grand Cayman. This has been a great addition to the variety of dive options available in Cayman.
