Shearwater Issues Voluntary Recall of Yellow Transmitters

Shearwater Research — who makes the Perdix and Teric dive computers — issued a voluntary recall for its yellow wireless tank pressure transmitters (FCC ID: MH8A). Shearwater states on its website that these transmitters “may have the same transmission interval as the one found in gray transmitters.” This could result in signal interference — a dropped signal or loss of communication — if someone used a gray and yellow transmitter on the same dive.

If you have a yellow Shearwater transmitter, stop use and contact Shearwater Research at [email protected] or +1 604-669-9958.

For more info, see Shearwater’s complete product recall on its website.
