Underwater Kinetics to Release Two New Dive Lights at DEMA

Underwater Kinetics will unveil two new dive lights at the upcoming DEMA Trade Show -- the Super Q eLED, the brightest most compact dive light it has ever introduced to the market, and the AquaSun eLED, a rechargeable LED light which spews over 800 lumens of light underwater.

The Super Q eLED features several of UK's proprietary technologies -- including their Compound Path Optics (CPO) system and Battery warming/Heat Recovery System. The self-contained Compound Path Optics (CPO) system offers intensely bright light in a palm-sized hand-held unit, making it the smallest dive light in its class. The UK Battery warming / Heat Recovery System is designed capture heat from the LED and channels it into the batteries, providing approximately 10% longer burn time and improved cold weather performance. The Super Q eLED is powered by a rechargeable lithium battery pack and offers the option of using 2 lithium CR123 batteries in an emergency. Unlike most conventional rechargeable lights which swiftly diminish in brightness once you turn them on, the Super Q eLED holds a consistent level of brightness for 4-5 hours before noticeable "drop-off" occurs. With the long shelf life of a lithium cell power source and its combination of ABS LEXAN, polyurethane rubber and stainless steel construction for durability- the Super Q eLED is a great backup dive light, close-up video light, and compact warm water travel light.

For over 10 years the UK AquaSun 1200 served as a benchmark for superior dive light design. Committed to designing innovative, feature-rich products to fulfill their consumers' needs, UK has introduced the next generation of the AquaSun -- the AquaSun eLED. A dual reflector system combines the power of two high intensity LED's into a single intensely bright beam. Featuring the company's "through the lens" heat sink technology, this new version of the old classic is equipped with a patented heat sink in the front lens which, when submerged in water, cools the LEDs to provide a 100% increase in light output as well as consistent illumination. Added eLED circuitry monitors the LEDs output to prevent overheating and offers the user a selection between high and low power settings for extended burn time. The NiCad rechargeable battery pack provides 2 hours of light at full power on a single charge.
