Well-traveled divers know that the Bahamas is one of the best places in the world to go scuba diving with sharks. Looking ahead to Shark Week 2016 — which starts June 26 — The Ellen DeGeneres Show sent writer Lauren Pomerantz to Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas to find out. Check out the video above, where Pomerantz goes face to face with Caribbean reef sharks off New Providence Island and gets in a few laughs.

DeGeneres will make a splash this summer as the voice of the regal blue tang Dory when Finding Dory, the sequel to Disney's Finding Nemo, hits theaters June 17.
