The mystery destination is:

Palau

Clue #1

Approximately 230,000 square miles of Palau’s economic zone has been declared a Shark Sanctuary and has banned all shark fishing in its waters. Great news for sharks and divers alike. Many elasmobranchs have home in Palau including grey reef, white tips, black tips and nurse sharks whilst whale sharks have been known to cruise through. At certain times of year, typically Feb-Apr, mating reef sharks can be observed by divers.

Clue #2

Blue Corner is one of the World’s top rated dive sites, with consistent grey and white tip reef shark sightings. Currents bring with them schools of snapper, jacks and barracuda whilst ultra-inquisitive Napoleon wrasse approach divers without fear. Numerous macro critters can be found here including leaf fish and nudibranchs.

Clue #3

Jelly Fish Lake, if full with the non-stinging Mastigas. A true sign of evolution these jelly fish have adapted to their environment and subsequently over many years lost the stinging cells common to all Cnidarians. Only snorkeling, without fins, is permitted in the lake in order to cause as little disturbance to the delicate jelly fish. Beware though – due to its enclosed environment the deeper water in the lake has become toxic and guests should avoid skin diving and make sure to clean your ears well after a visit!
