You may find up to 200 whale sharks gathered in one place, and Pro Dive International can guarantee sightings throughout the season, June through mid-September. cenotes

Considered the entrance to the mythical underworld by the ancient Maya, the cenotes can be dived by those with good buoyancy and air consumption, and comfortable in tight spaces.

Mystical Cenotes

The Yucatan Peninsula is a huge limestone platform where fresh water runs like rivers through underground cave systems. Diving or snorkeling in a cenote is an amazing experience you’ll want to do at least once in your lifetime. Beams of sunlight filter down from the entrance through all the cracks and openings of the cavern ceiling, shining on the stalactites, immersing you in a tranquil, beautiful setting.
