SCUBAPRO TRAVEL BAG

This midsize bag can swallow a surprisingly large amount of gear and personal items for its 25.5-by-13.75- by-11.75-inch dimensions. It has a zip-off backpack with padded shoulder straps, and a zippered compartment inside. The bag is made of a combination of 450-denier ripstop, 420-denier nylon and 600-denier polyester for durability, and weighs less than 8 pounds.

PINNACLE INFERNO V-SKIN

Not a wetsuit but a high-tech mix of merino wool and fleece, tri-lam base layer, and Lycra outside, the V-Skin fullsuit provides thermal protection without adding buoyancy. Made to wear alone or layered with other protection, the Inferno V-Skin is wind-resistant, has stirrups and thumb loops to keep it in place, and has a zip-off shoulder enclosure with a chest hook-and-loop flap that lets you attach the standard V-Skin collar or hood.

UNDERWATER KINETICS AQUALITE ELED PRO 20°

Less than 6 inches long, the Aqualite Pro 20° packs big primary-light power with 750 lumens, and has a slick rotary tail switch that clicks between 100, 60, 40 and 25 percent power (and an SOS flash mode). Depth-rated to 500 feet, the Pro 20° comes with a quick-release hand-mount and a rechargeable Li-ion battery that burns for 1.6 hours at full power.
